Mrs. Furness was born and raised in Vancouver. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Education degrees from the University of British Columbia. Mrs. Furness taught for two years before becoming a Futures/Commodities broker. After four years she moved to Duncan to start a family. Mrs. Furness has been married for 26 years and has two daughters. She enjoys traveling and has traveled throughout Europe, Asia, Costa Rica, and the United States.
